Chain Stitched Pennant (The Beaches)
Display a little neighbourhood (or, band?) love & pride with this one of a kind pennant. No two will be alike! This felt pennant is chainstitched, and sewn by us in our Toronto studio.
Measures approx 7.5" x 11.5"
Chain stitching can be traced back to 1100 BC in China but machine chain stitch has been more recently used in the last 100 years for work wear, uniforms, western wear and embellishing clothing and fabrics. The direction of the needle is controlled by a hand cranked knob under the sewing table, so each letter is created by the machine operator (aka us!)
